Clean & Clear Night Relaxing Deep Cleaning Face Wash

While I was at CVS I saw this new item from Clean & Clear. I love Clean & Clear products they have been my go to facial cleanser brand for years now. However, I do use a highend brand when I use my Clarasonic every now and again.

Anyways, I purchased this item to try at night since it is a nighttime product. Plus who doesn't want to relax?!? Am I right?!?

The back of the product says:
"With deep sea minerals and sea kelp extract, this purifying cleanser cleans deep to effectively wash away daily build-up- like dirt, oil and impurities deep in poors. So effective, this foaming cleanser even washes away dirt and oil you can't see while calming aromas help wind you down- leaving you clean and relaxed."

I've used this product for two nights now, it has an almost fruity aroma, I personally think it smells similar to green apples. The cleanser foams up as you wash your face and removes all the oils from your face as well. It also has a cooling sensation if you let it sit on your face for a few moments, which I thoughly enjoy. After I rinsed the product off it gave me that fresh clean feeling, which is really important to me. I will literally return facial cleansers if they don't give me that fresh clean feeling. The aromas of the product do relax you, and the cooling effect also helps do the same.

I'm actually really happy that I noticed this item on the shelf and that I took the chance and purchased it. I will definitely be using this every night from now on.

This product is oil free, won't clog pores, and won't over dry your skin. I purchased this at CVS for around $6.00 to $7.00 I believe ( I misplaced my receipt sadly).

Freeman Facial Polishing Mask - Charcoal & Black Sugar

So I was in CVS the other day and was looking around the facial cleanser aisle when I saw all the Freeman Facial Mask products. Now I'm in love with Origans Charcoal Mask but wanted something a lot less pricey to try as an alternative. When I saw that Freeman made a charcoal mask I was so happy, as I've used some of their other masks before and I love them. So naturally I had to buy the product to try it.

So let me tell you what the product claims to do before I actually get into my review of it.
On the back of the tube it says:
"This unique mask and scrub works double time to detox skin. First, naturally purifying Activated Charcoal helps absorb oil and impurities without over-drying. Then, black sugar helps exfoliate away dulling skin cells for softness and clarity."

I tried this product last night as soon as I got home from purchasing it following the directions on the back of the tube. It didn't irritate my skin at all and it didn't make my skin itchy as I had the product on my skin like other masks I have tried prior to this have. It has a light clean smell to it, nothing over powering. However, it doesn't have a tingle feeling to it or anything while you have it on for the five to seven minutes as directed on the tube, so if your looking for something that tingles this isn't the product for you.

After you have it on for the five to seven minutes you then wet your hands and rub the product into your skin for one to two minutes and rinse. The sugar made my skin feel amazing after, it literally was as soft as a baby's bottom. I don't think I've ever had my face feel as soft as it does right now. Also I noticed today that my skin wasn't as oily as it normally is, I believe that the charcoal did help absorb the oils as it states on the tube. My skin isn't dry from using this product either. All in all I am in love with this product & will be purchasing another tube after I finish this one.

Like I stated above I did purchase this item from my local CVS for $3.99, the tube is 6 fl oz. It states on the tube that it is perfect for all skin types and that is not tested on animals.

If anyone tries it I would love to hear what you thought about it!!

Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser Vs. Benifit Cosmetics The POREfessional

Vs.

The internet is buzzing about Maybelline's New Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser, and it should be. So what's the difference between Maybelline's New Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser and Benefit Cosmetic's The POREfessional you ask? Well lets dive in shall we!

Baby Skin and POREfessional are both silicone based products so if your allergic to silicone I suggest staying far away from these products. The one difference I noticed is that Baby Skin is a bit more thicker when applying however you only need a very small amount of product as it spreads easily as where POREfessional is thinner when applying but you need more product to cover problem areas or your whole face.

Another difference is that Baby Skin makes your skin feel smoother after applying, as where POREfessional has more of a lotion/ silky feel to it and even has the strong sent that comes along with a lotion. Also the coloring of the actual product from Baby Skin is clear but POREfessional is not and is actually a pinky nude color. Baby Skin also is .67 oz as where POREfessional is .75 oz a difference of .08 oz , which really isn't a huge deal breaker.

The biggest difference is the price though, POREfessional retails for $30.00 and Baby Skin retails at CVS for $6.99!!! Both products are amazing and work wonderfully, but its the price difference that will probably hurt Benefit in the long run seeing as you can buy the same product from another company for way less then POREfessional, and also you won't be inconvenienced by having to drive all the way to a Sephora or Ulta like you have to with POREfessional. You can purchase Baby Skin at CVS, Target, or Wal-Mart. I am unsure if you can buy it at Walgreens or Rite-Aid I did check online and it didn't show the item online for each of those stores unfortunately.

I will say that Baby Skin is a dupe for POREfessional and if you don't want to be spending $30.00 on one item then I highly suggest Baby Skin!!

Urban Decay Vice 2 Palette

One of my favorite palettes is Urban Decays Vice 2 Palette. It has twenty all new beautiful pigmented shadows from pink to black. Not only are the shadows to die for but the packaging is also amazing. Out of all the palettes Urban Decay has made this is definitely my go to palette along with the Naked 2 palette.

As you can see the palette comes with a double sided brush which is probably one of my favorite brushes however I wish they would have made it better because one side of mine came loose and popped off and I had to glue it back together.

Like I said earlier the palette does come with twenty all new colors two of which are matte, the others are mostly pearly/satiny or metallic. My favorites and the ones I'm currently hitting pan on or am making a huge dent in are:
-Dope
-Habit
-Madness
-Shellshock
-Strike
-Smokeout
-Betrayal

This palette is definitely worth the money ( costs $59 on Urban Decay website), as a single shadow from Urban Decay is $18 each!

Here are a list of the colors:

*Smokeout (dark taupey-black satin)
*Lovesick (black matte w/iridescent micro-glitter)
*Shellshock (bright metallic silver)
*Coax (medium metallic pink w/golden iridescent micro-sparkle)
*X-Rated (baby pink satin)
*Prank (deep navy matte w/turquoise floating pearl)
*Madness (bright metallic blue shimmer w/blue micro-glitter)
*Strike (antique gold shimmer w/silver micro-glitter)
*Stash (deep olive green shimmer w/iridescent micro-sparkle)
*Poison (charcoal satin w/iridescent micro-sparkle)
*Radar (metallic brown shimmer w/iridescent micro-glitter)
*Damaged (bright metallic emerald shimmer)
*Voodoo (metallic purple shimmer w/iridescent purple micro-glitter)
*Betrayal (bright purple satin w/blue shift)
*Derailed (medium metallic taupey-brown shimmer)
*Dope (warm champagne satin)
*Toxic (metallic copper-pink shimmer w/tonal micro-glitter)
*Habit (light nude matte)
*Ambush (metallic brown satin)
                          *Rewind (medium brown matte)

Below are some swatches of all the colors, the only one you can't really see on my skin is Habit only because its the same color as my skin.

Review: Josie Maran 100% Light Argan Oil

As anyone with oily skin I have been on what seems to be the longest hunt for a moisturizer that won't make my skin into a oily slip and slide. Since beauty oils are becoming more popular I decided to try one.

Now the most people think using an oil on oily skin is a bad idea, which is false. It actually helps fight the oils on your face and actually helps manage the pore-clogging sebum. So since I have oily skin I decided to try out Josie Maran 100% Light Argan Oil which is made for people with oily skin and actually helps mattify the oils, and even helps breakout prone and sensitive skin (score!).

I applied some after washing my face this morning with my Clarisonic Mia 2, and the oil absorbed very quickly into my skin leaving me with very soft skin. It didn't make my skin look oily nor did it feel oily after applying. Even after 8 hours of wearing the oil on my face my face didn't seem as oily as it typically does which is wonderful, yet it did provide a lot of moisture like a normal facial moisturizer does. I really recommend this product to people that are looking for a great alternative to a typical oil free moisturizer.

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette is it Worth it or Not?

I received the new Naked 3 Palette for a Christmas gift and although I love how wonderfully pigmented Urban Decay shadows normally are I find that this one didn’t really meet the expectations that I had built up from the previous Naked palettes and Vice palettes. I find that some of the shadows are well pigmented while others in the palette where cut short, which  actually kind of blows since the ones that are less pigmented are also the ones that catch your eyes the most in the palette. The color Dust in the palette which is a gorgeous pinky rose color infused with glitter falls short from being anything near what you expect. The pigment is very dusty and you end up with a lot of fallout rather than color. The color Trick which is a gorgeous gold color doesn’t pay off as nearly as much as I hoped, I did find however that if you add a little Mac Fix Plus to your brush before applying this color you get way better pay off than if you don’t. I’ve tried to add Fix Plus to Dust as well however because the color is so “dusty” with those large glitter chunks it just skips areas you are trying to apply it to, the only way to use this color is on your lid with Fix Plus and patting the color on rather than swiping it on to build the color in areas where it skips. All in all this palette is ok but I’m very disappointed and personally I don’t recommend buying it unless you have Mac Fix Plus.
